Recovery LinkUp Cafes are for men and women in recovery from drug, alcohol and other addictions.
The cafes offer affordable meals and beverages in a safe environment. Social events are held throughout the year, such as barbeques, games evenings and themed nights.
They are abstinence based.
We are an independent charity, and not affiliated to any Anonymous Fellowship or treatment provider. However, we welcome men and women from all 12-Step fellowships.
You do not have to be in a 12 step programme or any treatment to come to the cafe, but you should be In Recovery and abstinent from drugs/alcohol for at least 24 hours. Please do not come to the cafe if you have been using or drinking on the day.
Recovery LinkUp Cafes are a not-for-profit project of Recovery Resources Foundation. The cafes are subsidised by grants and donations to keep the prices affordable.
The cafes are staffed by volunteers. We positively welcome volunteers who are in recovery for a variety of roles, including cooking, serving and general cafe/kitchen help. Full training is provided.
